The Radiology Residency Program at Bryn Mawr Hospital is a four-year Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and American Board of Radiology (ABR) accredited residency program that currently trains four residents per year. As one of the oldest radiology residency programs in the country, we have been training radiology residents since 1938.
Unfortunately, starting in fall 2017, we will no longer be recruiting residents to our program. The last entering PGY2 class will start in July of 2018 and graduate June 2022. We remain fully committed to training all of our current and future residents until this final class graduates.
Bryn Mawr Hospital is a 300+ bed community hospital located in the suburbs of western Philadelphia and, as a component of the Main Line Health system, services a large and diverse patient population. Frequently recognized for its outstanding patient care, Bryn Mawr is regularly counted among the Reuters Top 100 Hospitals in the country, receives annual Magnet Nursing designation, and is among the Top Places to Work in Pennsylvania.
Our primary goal as a radiology residency is to prepare and equip our residents to thrive in the ever-changing health care environment that they will enter upon graduation. To meet this goal, our program is committed to excellence in education, integrity and a balanced curriculum, which encompasses both the clinical and business aspects of modern medicine. We believe that the residents are what keep our program strong and thriving, and we work hard to support, nurture and accommodate them in order to make them better radiologists and individuals.
Our commitment to a well-rounded education, combined with an enthusiastic faculty, provides an exceptional learning environment. As no fellows are employed in our program, the residents are assured the full attention and mentoring of the radiology faculty. The quality of our residents is consistently demonstrated by their success in competitive fellowships and their leadership positions in radiology practices around the country.
