Bryn Mawr Hospital (BMH) is seeking a Campus Chief of Surgery to partner with Campus Chief of Anesthesiology and Director of Nursing to oversee the professional and clinical operations of surgical services at BMH. The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure that uniform and excellent standards of care are met, operating room efficiencies are optimized and systemwide surgical services initiatives are implemented. The BMH Campus Chief of Surgery works in partnership with the Campus Vice President of Medical Affairs and under the direction of the MLH Chairman of Surgery to assess the clinical practice of surgery at BMH and identify needs on the Campus. The Chief will assess and facilitate resolution of operational issues as well as support undergraduate and graduate surgical education.. The administrative duties are a 25% appointment.
Applicants must be board certified. Clinically, we are prioritizing surgeons with backgrounds in general, vascular or endocrine/oncology surgery with an emphasis on minimally invasive skills. The physician will be employed and practice under Main Line HealthCare, a network of multi-specialty physician practices. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication, organization and relationship building skills.
