Dr. Neil Baman was born in Peoria, IL in 1979 and spent the majority of his childhood in central Illinois. He graduated with honors from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology 2001.
Dr. Baman earned his medical degree from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, PA in 2006. In 2009 he completed three years of Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Penn State University Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Baman then served as a Chief Resident for one year. In 2012 he completed a two-year fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Hershey Medical Center, while also performing the duties of a Chief Fellow.
Dr. Baman has a keen interest in medical education and enjoys teaching patients, medical students, residents, and fellows while also volunteering in community service projects related to the field of Allergy and Immunology. He has published several medical research articles in the fields of Internal Medicine, Allergy and Immunology in addition to a chapter on asthma in a medical textbook. Dr. Baman has also presented numerous lectures at local, regional and national medical conferences on a wide variety of subjects including severe asthma, exercise-induced asthma, drug allergy and rare immune disorders. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Allergy and Asthma Association, American Academy of Allergy and Immunology, and the American College of Allergy and Immunology. His primary interests include drug allergy, allergic rhinitis, ocular allergy, angioedema and urticaria (swelling and hives).
In 2012, Dr. Baman joined the Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Clinical Immunology practice of Dr. Klein with offices in Havertown, Media and Wynnewood. Since then, Dr. Baman has won "Top Doc" by Main Line Today in multiple years.
