Learning experiences

  • PGY-1 pharmacy residency program begins on July 1st and ends June 30th of the following calendar year
  • Residents will complete 8 core and 3 elective learning experiences, each being 4 weeks long
  • Longitudinal learning experiences:
    • Formulary management and medication safety are 6-months experiences. Each resident will alternate between both experiences during the residency year
    • Research, hospital pharmacy practice, warfarin clinic and teaching are 12-months long experiences. Both residents will be completing these experiences throughout the residency year
  • Teaching
    • Certification program through Philadelphia College of Pharmacy
    • Residents may be required to travel to the college for specific teaching activities
