Paoli Hospital earns re-accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers by the American College of Surgeons

Paoli Hospital June 12, 2022 News Releases

Paoli, Pa- May 2022- The National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), recently granted re-accredited status to Paoli Hospital’s Holloway Breast Health Center, part of Main Line Health’s comprehensive breast cancer program. The Comprehensive Breast Center at Lankenau Medical Center and the Barbara Brodsky Comprehensive Breast Center at Bryn Mawr Hospital are also NAPBC- accredited breast cancer programs offered at Main Line Health. To achieve voluntary NAPBC accreditation, a breast center demonstrates compliance with the NAPBC standards that address a center’s leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education, and quality improvement for patients. Breast centers seeking NAPBC accreditation undergo a site visit every three years.

“I am very proud of our team at the Holloway Breast Health Center who received this re-accreditation. Their dedication and commitment to their patients and our community are the reasons we have, once again, achieved this recognition and continue to distinguish us as a premier breast cancer program within our region,” says Jim Paradis, President, Paoli Hospital.

“As NAPBC-accredited centers, the Holloway Breast Health Center at Paoli Hospital, along with all of Main Line Health’s breast cancer programs, are committed to maintaining levels of excellence in the delivery of comprehensive, patient-centered, multidisciplinary care resulting in high-quality care for patients with breast disease,” says Robert Fried, Medical Director, Holloway Breast Health Center, Paoli Hospital. “At Main Line Health, our patients receiving care at our NAPBC-accredited breast cancer centers also have access to information on clinical trials and new treatment options, genetic counseling, and patient-centered services including psychosocial support, rehabilitation services, and survivorship care.” Patients can be confident that their breast care team includes health care professionals from a variety of disciplines who are committed to working together to provide the best care available through their entire course of treatment.
