Main Line Health and the Lankenau Heart Institute kicked off Super Bowl
Sunday on February 1 with a Super Walk held at the Main
Line Health Center at Exton Square. Over 200 community members put
on their sneakers and engaged in a heart-healthy walk throughout the
Exton Square Mall. The event included a special guest appearance by
NBC10 meteorologist Glenn “Hurricane” Schwartz, kids’ activities,
including face painting, and a health fair. In addition, 175 pounds of
canned goods were collected for the Chester County Food Bank.
Heart disease is the #1 killer of men and women. As a leader in the
delivery of cardiovascular care, the Lankenau Heart Institute, part of
Main Line Health, partners with the community to offer educational
programs and activities that spread the word about heart disease. The
Super Walk is designed to get the community moving and on the road to
heart health.
