Main Line HealthCare and the physicians of Chestmont Neurosurgical are pleased to welcome Robert E. Elliott, MD. Dr. Elliott earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, and completed his residencies in surgery and neurosurgery at New York University Medical Center. In 2009, he was the Chief Resident, Neurosurgery, at NYU Langone Medical Center, and in 2010 the Chief Resident, Neurosurgery at Bellevue Hospital and Manhattan Veteran’s Affairs Hospital in New York. Dr. Elliott’s clinical interests include brain tumors, trauma, degenerative spinal disease and minimally invasive spinal surgery. He works closely with his patients as well as their primary care and pain management physicians to attempt conservative measures before surgery is considered. Dr. Elliott is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Pennsylvania Neurosurgical Society, and Pennsylvania Medical Society. He is a published author in numerous prominent medical journals, and has participated in various research studies, receiving the Young Investigator Award from the American Epilepsy Society in 2009. Dr. Elliott is on staff at the Main Line Health hospitals—Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr, Paoli and Riddle hospitals. He speaks Spanish fluently and is available as a speaker for community events.
