I was born July 24, 1939. I graduated from Haverford College in 1961 with a major in English literature and pre-med. After college, I attended graduate school at Temple University. I received an MA in English literature in 1967. I was employed by the Department of Public Assistance as a social worker in North Philadelphia. I began my medical studies at the University of Lausanne in Switzerland. I attended the medical school from 1965 to 1971 where I received my degree.
I was an intern and resident in internal medicine at Bryn Mawr Hospital from 1971 to 1973. I have practiced family medicine in Malvern and Paoli, for almost 43 years. I have been board-certified in family medicine since 1977. My interest include geriatrics, adolescent medicine and legal medicine. Of course I have provided primary care for patients with a whole range of medical problems.
