As one of my mentors once said: " For the secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient". I subscribe to the philosophy of "being in the moment" during a doctor-patient encounter, of giving my full attention to that patient without being distracted by computer screens or check boxes. My patients are more like family and friends and their well-being - today, tomorrow, and beyond - is my utmost concern.
