Karen is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive clinical and supervisory experience working with women and families. Karen practices from strengths-based and solution-oriented perspectives to help patients feel empowered to create meaningful change in their lives and discover tools that will help them to positively influences their mental health and life in general. She utilizes cognitive behavior therapy strategies to challenge thinking patterns that contribute to and prolong anxiety, depression, stress, anger and hopelessness. Karen is trained in bereavement, trauma, assertive communication and mindfulness. She is passionate about helping women expand their support networks and is grateful to be a part of her patients' journeys in discovering opportunities for resolve, gratitude and peace.
Karen graduated with high honors from the Pennsylvania State University and hold a Masters of Social Work degree from Marywood University. She is certified in child and adolescent psychotherapy and group practice from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research.
