Division Director, WEWC
Elizabeth (Liz) brings extensive experience working with women and families. Her areas of expertise include program development, clinical operations, regulatory, quality, problem solving; perinatal mood and anxiety disorders; infertility; bereavement; general women's and family issues. Previously, Liz served as mother/baby social worker at Bryn Mawr Hospital and co-founded a private counseling practice for women. In 2013, Liz launched the WEWC and collaborated with nursing leadership to develop the Edinburgh Screening process at MLH to ensure women who deliver are screened for and educated about perinatal mental illness. Liz has since overseen clinical operations expansion at the WEWC to include an intensive outpatient program, a partial hospitalization program and a second location in King of Prussia.
The WEWC has received rave reviews from patients and the community and was named among top local resources for women by Philadelphia Style Magazine in Spring 2015. Liz has served as expert in various media and guest lectures on maternal mental health and women's emotional wellness. For her work and dedication to championing women's issues, Liz was named a Power Woman on the Move 2016 by Main Line Today Magazine and a Woman of the Year by Suburban Life Magazine in 2017. Liz is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rutgers University, an Undergraduate Associate of the Eagleton Institute of Politics and achieved a MSW from Temple University with honors. In 2019, Liz was among the inaugural class to complete an executive healthcare leadership certificate at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
