Dr. Bradford J. Jacobs was born and raised in Philadelphia. He graduated from Philadelphia's Central High School, and went on to receive his B.S. in Biology from Villanova University. He then attended the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine (now renamed Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine) and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree in 1983. Dr. Jacobs completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgical training at Kensington Hospital in Philadelphia. It was there that he met Dr. Mushlin who was his Residency Director and mentor. Although he then went into private practice on his own, Dr. Jacobs remained connected to his training program by becoming the Assistant Residency Director to Dr. Mushlin, later taking on the role as Residency Director for several years. Dr. Jacobs joined Dr. Mushlin in his practice in 1991, originally on a part-time basis. As the practice grew, Dr. Jacobs and Dr. Mushlin joined forces full time. The practice became Podiatry Care Specialists, P.C. in 2002.
Dr. Jacobs is Board Certified with the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and was recertified in 2003 and 2012. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management. He has enjoyed many years as a Question Reviewer for the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners.
Dr. Jacobs also enjoys spending his free time with his wife Karen, daughters Brooke and Paige, son-in-law Andy, Spencer their dog, and he recently became Pops to his grandson, Noah. Anyone who knows Dr. Jacobs realizes that he loves to talk about sports, especially golf. He is an avid golfer and recently became President of the Men's Golf
Association at Center Square Golf Club, where he plays regularly. He gets tremendous satisfaction in seeing his patients living an active, fruitful, and happy life which is why he chose to become a Podiatrist in the first place.
