AARP Smart Driver™ Course/Full 8-hour Course

This program is a 2-day course (four hours per session) being held on Wednesday April 17, 2025 and Thursday April 18, 2025, for individuals 50 years of age and older. Attendance on both dates is required. Registrants who have never taken the 2-day course or whose certificate has expired are eligible. All course certificates are good for three years.

The AARP Smart Driver™ Full Course (8 hours total) is recognized as an approved Mature Driver Improvement Course by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Insured drivers aged 50 and older may be eligible for an appropriate reduction in automobile insurance premium charges after completing the course. Please check with your insurance company or agent for any additional requirements for eligibility.

Attendees will pay the facilitator the first day of the class. Only check or money orders accepted (No cash or credit cards accepted). Checks and money orders should be made out to AARP.

Cost: AARP members $20.00; Non-members $25.00
Please bring check to class on first day.

Students should bring their driver’s license and AARP membership card to the class.  Students are also encouraged to bring their lunch and beverage for a class break.
