AARP Smart Driver Refresher Course

This program is a 4-hour refresher course for individuals 50 years of age and older. Registrants need to have taken the two-day AARP Safe Driver™ Full Course (eight hours) in the past.  All course certificates are good for three years.

The AARP Smart Driver Course is recognized as an approved Mature Driver Improvement Course by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Insured drivers ages 50 and older may be eligible for an appropriate reduction in automobile insurance premium charges after completing this course. Please check with your insurance company or agent for any additional requirement for eligibility.

Attendees will pay the facilitator the day of the class. Only check or money orders accepted (no cash or credit cards). Checks and money orders should be made out to AARP.

Cost: AARP members: $20.00; Non-members: $25.00

Students should bring their driver’s license and AARP membership card to the class.  Students are also encouraged to bring their lunch and beverage for a class break.
