Stronger Together: The Power of Exercise to Reduce Your Risk

Cancer Programs
Community Events

Physical activity is important for our health and well-being, especially during and after cancer care. Studies have shown that regular exercise can reduce your risk of developing certain cancers and of cancer returning (a recurrence). Staying active and exercising 150-300 minutes per week or more can improve recovery after surgery and lessen side effects including fatigue, joint pain and mood changes.

Join us to:

  • Workout with Dr. Lina Sizer, breast surgical specialist at Main Line Health, and the personal trainers at X Training for a full body group class. Enjoy an individualized experience with modifications available to support all ages or abilities.
  • Learn about the importance of strength training and ask questions of experts.
  • Discover ways to personalize your exercise routine to support any limitations or specific goals.
  • Connect, celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and get stronger together!
