During this program you will learn breastfeeding techniques to get you off to a good start, steps for successful breastfeeding, and information for coping with common situations or problems that can occur in the early weeks. The father of the baby or a supportive family member is encouraged to attend. We recommend that you take this class approximately two to three months before delivery.

Please bring a life-size doll or stuffed animal so that you can practice positioning techniques as they are demonstrated during class.

Childbirth education classes are offered to clients delivering their baby at a Main Line Health hospital: Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr, Paoli and Riddle hospitals. Some classes are not offered at all locations. For a full list of class offerings (including registration dates) please be sure to include all locations in your search for classes.

This class will be held in Health Care Center 1, Vakil Conference Room 2. Directions: Please park in front of hospital. Go to main hospital entrance. Pass the elevators and make a right into the hallway. Follow signs to HCC1. Make a right, and continue to follow signs to HCC1. Go right down the long hallway, make right. Vakil Conference Room 2 is on left.
