A matter of balance: Managing concerns about falls

Do you have concerns about falling? Many older adults express concerns about falling and restricting their activities. A matter of balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

This program covers topics including:

  • Exploring thoughts and concerns about falling
  • Exercise and fall prevention
  • Assertiveness and fall prevention
  • Managing concerns about falling
  • Recognizing fall-ty habits
  • Recognizing fall hazards in the home and community

This is a free course but registration is required. Participants must commit to attending all sessions. Sessions are held once per week on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
  • Wednesday, March 27, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
  • Wednesday, May 8, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
  • Wednesday, April 12, 2019 from 10:00 am–12:00 pm
This event will be held in Conference Room A on the lower level. This course is NOT in Bryn Mawr Hospital but two blocks away.
