A matter of balance: Managing concerns about falls

Do you have concerns about falling? Many older adults express concerns about falling and restricting their activities. A matter of balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

This program covers topics including:

  • Exploring thoughts and concerns about falling
  • Exercise and fall prevention
  • Assertiveness and fall prevention
  • Managing concerns about falling
  • Recognizing fall-ty habits
  • Recognizing fall hazards in the home and community

This is a free course but registration is required. Participants must commit to attending all sessions. Sessions are held once per week on the following dates:

  • Monday, March 11, 2019 from 1:30–3:30 pm
  • Monday, March 18, 2019 from 1:30–3:30 pm
  • Monday, March 25, 2019 from 1:30–3:30 pm
  • Monday, April 1, 2019 from 1:30–3:30 pm
  • Monday, April 15, 2019 from 1:30–3:30 pm
  • Monday, April 22, 2019 from 1:30–3:30 pm
  • Monday, April 29, 2019 from 1:30–3:30 pm
This class will be held in the Green Room. Location is adjacent to the Paoli Campus at the intersection of Central Avenue and Industrial Blvd. Classroom can be accessed through the Main entrance. There is ample free parking and handicap access to the building and classroom.
