One in 10 children experience sexual abuse before age 18. Over 90 percent of children know their abuser. We can change that.

Stewards of Children® is a prevention training that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The program is designed for mandated reporters, organizations that serve youth, parents and individuals concerned about the safety of children. It is the only nationally distributed, evidence-informed program proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes, and change child protective behaviors.

If you would like to schedule a training session for your community, contact Deborah Ryan at the Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. at 610.692.1926 ext. 220 or debr@cvcofcc.org.

This program is approved for two (2) contact hours of continuing education for social workers and nurses.

This event will be held in the Potter Room. To get to the Potter Room: Drive onto the Paoli Hospital campus and follow signs to the Medical Office Building (MOB) parking. This is around the back of the hospital. Park in the MOB parking lot and enter MOB 1. This is the door closest to the Emergency Department. Once you are in the door, walk down the long hallway. You will see a large, open staircase. Follow the small hallway next to the staircase. The Potter Room will be on your left. If you pass the cafeteria, you have gone too far.
