Jun 13 2018

During this program you will learn breastfeeding techniques to get you off to a good start, steps for successful breastfeeding, and information for coping with common situations or problems that can occur in the early weeks. The father of the baby or a supportive family member is encouraged to attend. We recommend that you take this class approximately two to three months before delivery.

Please bring a life-size doll or stuffed animal so that you can practice positioning techniques as they are demonstrated during class.

Childbirth education classes are offered to clients delivering their baby at a Main Line Health hospital: Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr, Paoli and Riddle hospitals. Some classes are not offered at all locations. For a full list of class offerings (including registration dates) please be sure to include all locations in your search for classes.

Registration fees for Main Line Health maternity education programs may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance plan. Please check you plan benefits for more information.

This event will be held in Pennypacker Auditorium. To get to the auditorium: Enter via Warden Lobby (main entrance) off Old Lancaster Road. There is a garage next to this entrance. Once in Warden Lobby walk straight down the hall. At the end of the hallway make a left and take the AC elevator (on the left) to first floor. Follow the hallway in front of you for “Floor 1A” (green sign) to the Rotunda—Pennypacker Auditorium is to the left.
