Apr 25 2018

The Deaver Wellness Farm offers free programming and field trips for school-aged youth. These hands-on programs are designed to meet Pennsylvania curriculum standards for health, science and the environment. For the first time ever, we are now offering this programming to home school students! Maximum capacity is 30 students, so be sure to sign up today.

On April 25, 2018, we will have a lesson about "Seeds and Sprouts" (grades K–5). Spring is the time for seeds and planting! Learn all about seeds and plant parts, and begin to explore the relationship between seeds, soil and the plants we eat. All lessons include a healthy eating component and we will prepare a healthy snack.

Registration is required. When registering, please use your child’s full name and birth date on the form. We also need you to provide your (the parent/guardian) email and phone number so that we can contact you about any changes or cancellations due to weather.

Participants should park in Lot A. While the farm lesson is free, there is a small fee to park at the hospital. We will meet in the main lobby of Lankenau in front of the Health Education Center. From there we will walk outside to the farm. We will let all participants know 24 hours in advance if there are any cancellations due to weather.
