A matter of balance: Managing concerns about falls

Do you have concerns about falling? Many older adults express concerns about falling and restricting their activities. A matter of balance is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels.

This program covers topics including:

  • Exploring thoughts and concerns about falling
  • Exercise and fall prevention
  • Assertiveness and fall prevention
  • Managing concerns about falling
  • Recognizing fall-ty habits
  • Recognizing fall hazards in the home and community

This is a free course but registration is required. Participants must commit to attending all sessions. Sessions are held once per week on the following dates:

  • Monday, March 12, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
  • Monday, March 19, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
  • Monday, March 26, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
  • Monday, April 2, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
  • Monday, April 9, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
  • Monday, April 16, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
  • Monday, April 23, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
  • Monday, April 30, 2018 from 12:30–2:30 pm
This event will be held in Conference Room C. To get to Conference Room C: Park in the lot at the Main Line Health Center in Newtown Square. Enter through the front entrance double doors; make a left at the reception desk through the double doors. Look for Conference Room C sign. Pass through the reception lobby and through door and make a quick right. Conference room is at the end of the hallway.
