Heart healthy avocado bowl

  • 2 cans 365 No-salt added black beans
  • 2 ½ cups 365 frozen brown rice
  • 1 avocado
  • Cilantro (for garnish)
  • Low-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • Health Starts Here Health Earth Blend Seasoning (Latin)
  • 1 tsp. Garlic granules
  • 1 tsp. Onion granules
  • 1 pinch Sea salt
  • Black pepper (to taste)


In a medium sauce pan add black beans and turn heat to medium-high flame. Bring liquid to a soft boil and add all seasonings; turn heat down to a low flame or simmer. While beans simmer, roughly chop cilantro and cut avocado into cubes then set aside. Return to your beans and add frozen rice. Stir to mix well and bring heat back up to medium to heat rice thoroughly. Take Greek yogurt from fridge and stir. In a small soup bowl, add rice and beans and top with avocado, cilantro, and yogurt. Enjoy!
