The physicians and staff of Lankenau Heart Group are pleased to welcome Katie M. Hawthorne, MD. Dr. Hawthorne specializes in general cardiology, echocardiography, cardiac MRI, and is certified in nuclear cardiology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, and has a special interest in pregnancy and cardiovascular disease, and women’s cardiovascular health.
Dr. Hawthorne earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She completed her fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and was chosen to serve as Chief Fellow of Cardiology in 2013-2014. Dr. Hawthorne is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Medical Association, and is on the medical staff at all four Main Line Health Hospitals; including Lankenau Medical Center, Bryn Mawr, Paoli, and Riddle Hospitals. Dr. Hawthorne is available as a speaker for community events.
