Main Line area children stopped by “Family Play It Safe” day to enjoy the festivities.
(Bryn Mawr, Pa. – October 26, 2012)— Bryn Mawr Hospital, a Main Line Health hospital, and Nemours duPont Pediatrics, recently hosted a “Family Play It Safe” day to celebrate the expansion of their collaboration to include coverage in the Bryn Mawr Hospital pediatric emergency department. Nemours pediatric specialists now provide round-the-clock pediatric emergency services in the Bryn Mawr Hospital pediatric emergency department.
The innovative collaboration between these two healthcare organizations has been bringing high quality pediatric care services to the nearly one million children in the five-county region of Southeastern Pennsylvania for nearly 15 years.
Along with tours of Bryn Mawr Hospital’s Pediatric Emergency Department and the Nemours Kids Transport ambulance, families received bicycle, poison and home fire safety tips, participated in a host of activities including a booth for teens simulating drowsy, drinking and distracted driving conditions, a virtual concussion experience and face painting, music and healthy refreshments.
