(BROOMALL, PA) Main Line HealthCare and the physicians and staff of Lawrence Park OB/GYN are pleased to welcome Courtney B. Hammerel, MD. Dr. Hammerel earned her medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson where she received the Outstanding Medical Student Achievement Award. During medical school she spent a summer at the Cacha Medical Spanish Institute working to implement a more modern health care system in Riobamba, Ecuador. In March 2011, during her OB/GYN residency, she traveled to the Hospital Nacional Docente Madre Niño San Bartolomé in Lima, Peru to complete an additional operative gynecology elective. In 2012, Dr. Hammerel completed her OB/GYN residency and was the recipient of the Teaching Pin Award at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She is on staff of the Main Line Health Hospitals; Lankenau Medical Center and Bryn Mawr, Paoli, and Riddle Hospitals.
