A plaque was ceremoniously unwrapped in the Main Lobby of the hospital by Nina Cruise and Alycia Mallon-Buhle, daughters of Mary Mallon, who was the first Director of Volunteer Services at Riddle and also a founding member of The Associated Auxiliaries. Listed on the brass plates are those volunteers who recently passed away while in service and inscribed on the plaque is Mary’s motto- “The highest of distinctions is service to others”- a belief that she lived daily. Her daughters continue in their mother’s footsteps- Nina is Manager of Retail Operations and Alycia serves as Vice President of The Associated Auxiliaries- in addition both women are active with all fundraising efforts for the hospital.
