Main Line Health Physicians Recognized As "Top Docs" By Philadelphia Magazine

Friday, May 06, 2011

Magazine also highlights the important role of nurses in superior patient experiences and clinical outcomes

Selected by their physician peers throughout the region, 55 outstanding Main Line Health physicians have been recognized by Philadelphia Magazine as 2011 “Top Docs.”

While this year’s May issue of the magazine contained the customary and prestigious list of “Top Docs,” the publication’s editorial focus was on the important role that nurses play in generating superior patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

“It’s gratifying that Philadelphia Magazine not only recognized outstanding physicians, but also highlighted excellent nurses who are critical to the quality and safety of our hospitals,” said Jack Lynch, President and CEO of Main Line Health. Philadelphia Magazine based its cover story on interviews with more than 30 of Greater Philadelphia’s nurses and nursing executives including Nancy Valentine, Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer for Main Line Health, Margaret Iacobacci, Interim Vice President of Nursing for Lankenau Medical Center and Douglas Hughes, Director of Nursing Operations for Paoli Hospital.

Main Line Health applauds its excellent nursing staff and extends its sincerest congratulations to the following physicians for their outstanding achievement:
