Foundation Board committees play a vital role at Bryn Mawr Rehab
Hospital. Our life-changing community programs and philanthropy efforts
are made possible by the hard work and dedication of our committee
members. Below are the Board committees and a description of their work.
Annual Giving Committee
Provides oversight for unrestricted and restricted Annual Giving
solicitations throughout the year.
Strategically involved with cultivating members of The Benjamin
Rush Society, which was created to recognize, engage and honor
donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually. Helps in the
solicitation of gifts and attends associated society events
throughout the year.
Business Development Committee
Provides oversight in the identification, cultivation and
solicitation of key corporate prospects.
Works closely with the development office to coordinate
solicitations of top corporate prospects for sponsorship for Art
Ability, Cruisin’ Smart and Project SEARCH as well as other
funding priorities of potential interest to a business.
Helps director of development to plan and implement corporate
giving program, providing advice and strategic thinking to
overall plan of action.
Campaign/Major Gifts Committee
In partnership with the development office and members of the
Foundation Board of Trustees, assists in identifying,
cultivating and selectively soliciting major gifts from
individuals to Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital.
Reviews cultivation and solicitation materials relating to Bryn
Mawr Rehab Hospital’s top priorities, and provides advice on
improvements and “user” reaction to those written materials.
Develops plan of action to lead to the identification,
nomination and cultivation of appropriate Foundation Board of
Responsible for nominating for election to the Foundation Board
of Trustees persons to fill vacancies on the Board created by
the expiration of a term, by retirement, death, reorganization,
removal of an elected trustee or otherwise.
Planned Giving Committee
Provides oversight for the planning and implementation of the
development office’s planned giving program which provides the
opportunity for donors to support Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital
through charitable estate and gift planning methods, such as a
will, trust arrangement, insurance policy, retirement plan
assets, or another deferred vehicle. These gifts help grateful
patients and community members maximize their giving intentions
while accommodating plans to provide for themselves and their
