About

Thomas H. Graham, MD

After completing medical school at the MS Hershey College of Medicine of Penn State University and graduating with honors, I then completed neurology training, which was composed of one year of internal medicine and 3 years of neurology after which I completed a year of subspecialty training in stroke and cerebral metabolism especially directed at studying and understanding cerebral function with tests of blood flow and brain energy utilization with PET scanning, at that time a very new technology. I completed this training over 5 years at the University of Pennsylvania where I remained on the clinical staff until 2007. I have been engaged in the private practice of Neurology since 1983 through the present where my practice has strived to understand, diagnose and treat the overall presentation of neurological problems in general. More recently I have increasingly concentrated on directing the larger organization of delivery of neurological care to the community and was honored to start that aspect of my career as Chief of the Neurology Division of the Main Line Health System and Paoli Hospital starting more than 25 years ago. I have also had the opportunity to grow the local expertise of stroke care in our health system since 2008 as Medical Director of the Stroke Program at Main Line Health and locally at Paoli Hospital. A few years ago, I was also appointed as the Medical Co-director of the Neuroscience initiative at Main Line Health. Good fortune and the confidence of my colleagues has provided me the honor of being chosen to be a Best Doctor in the USA for more than the past decade and to be chosen as a Best Doctor in Philadelphia and on the Main Line over a similar period. I have been fortunate and grateful to enjoy the success I have experienced, but none of that would have been possible without the tolerance and support of my family and especially my wife, and the professionalism of my staff with whom I have been fortunate to work.
