Dr. Ezekowitz has led 15 large clinical trials.  He along with Dr. Same Bridges and colleagues designed the first double-blind study of Coumadin proving benefit in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation - N Engl J Med 1992; 327(20): 1406-1412.  He is an internationally reknown speaker and has presented over 200 national and international invited lectures.  Dr. Ezekowitz has published over 400 papers and abstracts, and has written a book on cardiac sources of systemic embolism. 

Dr. Ezekowitz's most recent success (2009), is with the RELY trial as Co-Principal Investigator - N Engl J Med 2009; 361).  This trial is noteworthy as it proved the benefit of Dabigatran over Warfarin in patients with atrial fibrillation.
