Linna Li, MD

Linna Li, MD, is a member of the Main Line Health radiation oncology medical staff at both Bryn Mawr Hospital and Main Line Health Newtown Square. Dr. Li completed dual bachelor degrees with honors in social welfare and molecular cell biology (immunology) at University of California, Berkeley. She went on to earn her medical degree at Drexel University College of Medicine where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society. She was named chief resident while completing her residency in radiation oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center. She is an attending physician in radiation oncology at Bryn Mawr Hospital and Main Line Health Newtown Square. . Li currently serves on the National Cancer Institute Task Force, which evaluates concepts for phase II and III clinical trials. She has also served on the American Society for Radiation Oncology Education Committee, which provides informational sessions on the latest advancements in cancer research and technology for radiation oncologists throughout the country. She has received numerous awards and honors for her research in head and neck cancer, brain cancer, breast cancer and lung cancer. Her primary interests include utilizing innovative radiation treatment techniques that minimize side effects and maximize benefits to the patient. These include four-dimensional (4D) computed tomography treatment guidance with respiratory gating, high-dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy, image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). Her areas of clinical interest include immunotherapy and integrative therapy for the treatment of cancer.Dr. Li resides with her husband, daughter and son in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
