Philosophically, a family practitioner is part of the family. As part of the family, the family doctor is someone to depend upon for straight and unbiased opinion. The family doctor involves treating all aspect of the individual person. Like any member of the family, the patient is held in high regard and esteem.
I am lifelong resident of the Philadelphia suburban area and part of a large local family. I reside close to my work and many patients are my neighbors.
I went to Villanova University and then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine. While at Georgetown I received a Health Profession Scholarship to the United States Navy. I interned at the Oakland Naval Hospital in Oakland, Calif. I then served as a General Medical Officer at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital for three years. I completed my residency training at Delaware County Hospital in Drexel Hill. I completed a Fellowship at Penn State, Hershey School of Medicine in educational family medicine.
After spending a year teaching, I then founded Haverford Family Medicine in Haverford, Pennsylvania. I spent approximately 23 years in private family medicine. I then joined Main Line HealthCare in 2013. I am a staff family medicine physician at Main Line Health and see patients of all ages, including newborns.
I was Honorably Discharged from the United States Naval Reserve as a Lieutenant Commander. I am board certified by The American Board of Family Medicine. I am a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine.
