Atul Gupta, MD Atul Gupta, MD, interventional radiologist, joined Main Line Health in 2004 and currently provides medical leadership for
the Interventional Radiology Suite at Paoli Hospital. Previously, he served for four years as director of Interventional Radiology
at St. Agnes Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Gupta earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College, NY, in 1994. He pursued an internship in general surgery
at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He completed a residency in diagnostic imaging in 1999 and then conducted
a fellowship in interventional radiology, both with the University of Pennsylvania Health System, Philadelphia.
The recipient of numerous academic awards and honors, Dr. Gupta was awarded the Ralph D. Alley Prize for outstanding skills
knowledge in cardiothoracic surgery in 1994 and was the 1997 recipient of the RSNA Roentgen Resident Research Award. Board
certified in diagnostic radiology, Dr. Gupta also holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in interventional radiology.
He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Philadelphia Angiography and Interventional Radiology Society.
Dr. Gupta has an extensive bibliography of national presentations and research articles and has been published in such leading
journals as Blood, American Journal of Radiology, Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Applied Radiology, Seminars
in Thrombosis & Hemostasis and Video Journal of Color Flow Imaging.
