(PAOLI, PA; April 2007)--Construction of Paoli Hospital’s new Patient Care Pavilion is now well under way. The early phases have already begun with site clearing and paving removal. In late March, the excavation equipment arrived and the bulk excavation began. The next phase, rock removal/drilling, began at the end of March and will be ongoing for the next few months. During this time, some patients, visitors and staff will experience noise and vibrations during the work day. Please know that we will do everything possible to minimize the disruptions and complete this portion of the project as quickly as we can.

When the project is completed in early summer 2009, we will double the size of the hospital. The New Patient Care Pavilion will include:

• 126 New Private Rooms
• A larger, more accessible Emergency Department
• 14 New Operating Rooms.
• A 3-story arrival and lobby area with an enclosed walkway to our 737-space parking garage.

The new “Loop Road” in front of the parking garage remains open to route traffic away from the construction site.

Valet parking is still available at the Hospital Main Entrance.
