Clinical Nurse Educator—Telemetry
36 Hours Weekly
The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible and accountable for the
provision of education to enhance the culture of safety and quality of
patient care. The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for the
orientation, training, competency validation, and continuing education
of the nursing staff. Utilizing the principles of growth and development
over the life span, the Clinical Nurse Educator demonstrates knowledge
and skills necessary to provide/teach age appropriate care, as well as
care to diverse patient populations, within the assigned clinical areas.
The Clinical Nurse Educator works collaboratively with other departments
to ensure quality patient care and satisfaction. The Clinical Nurse
Educator is a leader and facilitator in shared decision-making
initiatives, at the clinical, departmental, and system levels, resulting
in a superior patient experience. The Clinical Nurse Educator functions
in accordance with professional practice standards as set forth by the
American Nurses Association, PA Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards
and MLH policies and procedures.
Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
BSN preferred, other related Bachelors Degree or pursuing
required; MSN or other related Masters Degree preferred
Ability to communicate proficiently in English to perform job
Licensures & Certifications:
A current PA RN license.
Maintains validation of current BLS training (CPR).
Certification in specialty area desired.
Unit-specific. Prior Clinical Nurse Educator or other related
Three to five years clinical experience in area of expertise
