Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital’s Art Ability program is now accepting
artist entries for the 2014-2015 Exhibition and Sale.
Art Ability will be on display from November 2, 2014–January 25,
2015, at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital in Malvern, PA. The exhibit officially
opens with a Preview Reception on Saturday, November 1, 2014. For ticket

Eligibility: Open to artists with physical, cognitive,
visual and hearing disabilities. Only work executed after the onset of a
disability or injury is eligible. All works must be for sale. Art
previously exhibited in Art Ability is not eligible for submission.
Reproduction prints will not be accepted. Please note:
acceptance of a work based on electronic images does not guarantee
inclusion. The jurors reserve the right to final selection for
exhibition when viewing actual work. We will decline exhibiting work
that arrives damaged.
Works on Paper, Works on Canvas or Board, Mixed Media, Sculpture,
Jewelry, Photography, Fine Crafts
Framed size: Height maximum 48” Height minimum 13”
Sculpture: Weight maximum 25lbs
If you use a glass frame we ask that you substitute it with Plexiglas.
We will not accept work that is framed with glass. All works must be
framed, wired and ready to hang.
Sales and Liability: Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital (BMRH)
will retain 20% commission on all sales of exhibited work, multiples and
those commissioned in the 12-week show. We will return works accepted
for the 12-week show which do not sell. In some cases artists are
invited to take part in Art Ability’s ongoing sales and exhibitions
programs. A consignment agreement will be sent to you at the end of the
12-week show if you are selected. For work sold during Art Ability’s
ongoing sales and exhibition programs the commission is 40%. Payments
are made by check in US dollars. Donations to the Bryn Mawr Rehab
Hospital permanent collection are arranged on a case by case basis when
agreed upon mutually by artists and curator. Permission is herby granted
to allow BMRH to photograph, publicize and otherwise appropriately use
the works submitted for the 12-week show for various types of publicity,
educational and public relations purposes.
Notification: Artists will be notified of preliminary
acceptance by August 18, 2014. Initial review of
submissions will be conducted by the Art Ability committee and
exhibition curator. Artists accepted will be asked to send actual work.
Shipping: Once accepted for the exhibition, artists are
required to ship their artwork in reusable cartons or crates
so it can be used to return the work if unsold at the end of the
exhibition. Works will be insured for shipping in the amount of the
stated value. NOTE: This year, thanks to a generous
grant, BMRH is pleased to cover the cost of shipping artwork TO the
exhibit—as well as the costs of returning any unsold work. Artists will
receive further details once work is accepted.

Jury and Awards Process: Distinguished members of the
greater Philadelphia arts community award prizes in several artistic
categories. More than $7,000 in prizes will be awarded. All accepted
work will be eligible for prizes of $1,000, $500, $250, $200, $150 and

Instructions for Submitting Entries
There is no entry fee when using CaFE™ System. Each
artist should complete the submission process online using a computer.
All materials should be submitted in digital format through the CaFE™

will be required to create a CaFE™ profile to apply.
