The Lankenau Institute for Medical Research
Directed by Gerald Messerschmidt, MD, the LIMR Clinical Research Center (CRC) supports clinical trials and research studies at all Main Line Health facilities. The CRC provides services for investigators, which include: regulatory support, pre-study review of contracts and grants, project initiation, negotiations with sponsors, statistical services, and financial management. A clinical outpatient center is available for use that consists of three fully equipped patient examination rooms and a phlebotomy station. The CRC works in conjunction with the Centers for Clinical Cardiology and Clinical Cancer Research to coordinate and further clinical research for the benefit of our patients.
The mission of the LIMR Clinical Research Center is to assist physicians, researchers, health professionals, and the Main Line Health community in advancing clinical research system-wide.
The Center achieves this mission by centralizing administrative oversight of all Main Line Health clinical research activities, providing support services to clinical research activity throughout Main Line Health, encouraging and advising on research initiatives by health professionals and academic institutions affiliated with Main Line Health, and expanding participation in entrepreneurial research endeavors.
