Cardiovascular Intervention and Electrophysiology (Cath/EP) Suite
Heart and vascular specialists at Lankenau Medical Center perform
precise, state-of-the-art catheterization procedures (to open blocked
coronary arteries) and manage the most complex cardiac arrhythmias
(irregular heartbeats). As a leader in cardiovascular care, Lankenau has
one of the busiest cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology
(Cath/EP) suites in the region. To support the growing needs of the
community and our mission to provide world-class cardiovascular
services, Lankenau expanded and renovated its Cath/EP Suite utilizing
the most advanced technology and the highest standards for safety and
infection control.
Features of the new suite include:
Cath/EP labs equipped with state-of-the-art imaging
systems for more precise diagnosis and treatment of
cardiac issues
Spacious, well-equipped rooms that enable seamless
collaboration between interventionalists, nurses and
cardiovascular technicians
New staff/physician locker rooms that function as
"one-way flow" entrances to patient treatment areas to
maintain sterility
Restricted visitor access to the suite to protect
privacy and reduce noise
Advanced audio and video technology to facilitate
real-time sharing of information and educational
advancement in partnership with the Annenberg Center.
