The Power of Community is a publication of the Bryn Mawr
Hospital Foundation, the tax-exempt, charitable organization that
solicits, accepts, records, acknowledges and stewards all donations to
Bryn Mawr Hospital. As a not-for-profit hospital, Bryn Mawr relies on
the generosity of individuals and organizations to help us fulfill our
mission to care for the sick, comfort the suffering and steward the
health of the community we serve.
Our mission, your philanthropy. That’s a strong Foundation.

4 Bryn Mawr – Girls Just Wanna Help Kids
When Shipley School fifth graders
Perry Maner and Emma Durham needed to
choose a community service project for
school, they had an idea. “Both of us
have spent time in Bryn Mawr Hospital
when we were sick,” Perry explains.
“It’s not fun and you miss your own bed
at home, so we decided our project
should help other kids who are sick in
the hospital.”

Rounding
for Influence – Managers Walk the Walk
Hospital employees are becoming
accustomed to seeing senior
administrators in uncustomary
situations. BMH President, Andi Gilbert,
has donned mask and scrubs to help out
in the OR. Vice presidents have been
spotted transporting patients to a test
site or delivering meal trays on patient
floors.

Leaving
a Legacy
Bryn Mawr Hospital was honored recently
with a generous gift from the estate of
Paul M. Ingersoll (sidebar). According
to his family, “(Paul) took great
pride in his association with Bryn Mawr
Hospital. He seemed to view it as a
second job and one in which he loved
being involved”. Paul’s thoughtful
bequest ensures that his kindness will
endure long after his death. On behalf
of future generations of patients and
caregivers, we thank him in spirit.
