An extraordinary team of maternity nurses and NICU nurses provides
compassionate care to new moms and babies; they are at the heart of what

our maternity unit consistently ranks high in patient satisfaction
Close to 50 percent of our maternity unit nursing staff are nationally
certified in inpatient obstetrics and maternal newborn nursing –
demonstrating their commitment to excellence in maternity services. In
70 percent of the hospital’s NICU nursing staff is
certified in both neonatal intensive care nursing and
breastfeeding. Two staff members are certified by the
International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners,
an organization that oversees lactation consultants who
have specialized skills in breastfeeding management and
