When chest pain strikes, every second counts. At the Main Line Health
Heart Center, we work with local EMS and dispatch partners to ensure
rapid treatment for patients experiencing chest pain or other signs of a
heart attack. We’ve streamlined our processes and treatment plans so
that we can diagnose and treat cardiac conditions as quickly and
effectively as possible.
In helping patients who are suffering, or have suffered, from chest
pain, we can integrate a range of diagnostic and treatment resources,
including:
-
Full-service non-invasive cardiology department (including
exercise stress testing)
-
Echocardiography laboratory certified through the Intersocietal
Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography
Laboratories (ICAEL)
-
Cardiac catheterization labs that offer balloon angioplasty and
stenting
-
Electrophysiology testing and treatment, including pacemakers
and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs)
-
Cardiac surgery
The Main Line Team
The Main Line Health Heart Center includes three facilities – Bryn Mawr
Hospital, Lankenau Medical Center, and Paoli Hospital
–
that are accredited chest pain centers with PCI (percutaneous coronary
intervention, or angioplasty) through the Society of Cardiovascular
Patient Care. To earn this accreditation, we’ve demonstrated that we
have the people, processes and technologies needed to rapidly respond to
and effectively treat heart attacks. The Society of Cardiovascular
Patient Care grants such designation only to hospitals that closely
follow American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association
recommendations to improve and save lives.
Additionally, Main Line Health’s Bryn Mawr, Lankenau and Paoli Hospitals
have been recognized with Magnet® designation by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center (ANCC). This designation places Main Line Health in
the top 3 percent of hospitals nationwide for nursing excellence.
