As the breast care nurse navigator at Paoli Hospital, Meghan Walker, RN,
MSN, CLNC, is an experienced oncology nurse with expertise working with
patients in a variety of settings. Meghan’s responsibilities include
facilitation of surgical consultation and medical management, education,
emotional support and practical guidance. She emphasizes patient
education and holistic care for all patients.
Meghan’s patient-centered viewpoint and experience make her the ideal
advocate to guide the patient through the various stages of evaluation,
treatment and follow-up care for breast health issues. She is always
willing to ensure that patients as well as their families have all of
their needs met.
Meghan is a graduate of Villanova University with a bachelor of science
degree in nursing. She has a master of science in nursing from the
University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona. She was invited into Sigma
Theta Tau, the Honor Society of Nursing. Meghan is active in numerous
committees at the hospital, including the Breast Program Leadership
Committee. She also coordinates a bimonthly Multidisciplinary Breast
Conference and participates in community health and wellness programs.
Meghan has worked in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings,
including the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, providing her with extensive
breast care experience. She is a firm believer that the needs of the
patient come first. She advocates for comprehensive patient care and
emphasizes the need for all patients to have an advocate through the
entire treatment process. She focuses on tailoring each patient’s
experience to fit the patient’s individual needs.
