The Benjamin Rush Society is a pre-eminent philanthropic society
comprised of supporters who view Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital to be the
provider of superior physical and cognitive rehabilitation to the
community.
Established in 2010 to coincide with the hospital's 40th
anniversary, The Benjamin Rush Society, recognizes and
honors our donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually in support of
hospital programs and events. We acknowledge the many individuals,
foundations and businesses whose generosity sustains and advances the
mission of Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital.
The Benjamin Rush Society is proudly named after Benjamin Rush,
MD, a pioneer in the field of occupational therapy, a medical teacher, a
social reformer, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. Bryn
Mawr Rehab Hospital now sits on the site originally known as the
“Country Campus” of the Philadelphia based Rush Hospital.
