Lankenau Institute for Medical Research
The Lankenau Institute for Medical
Research (LIMR) advances human health and well-being through
research to improve the detection and treatment of disease; the rapid
transfer of new technology to the clinical setting; and the training of
the next generation of scientists and physicians. LIMR scientists
perform basic research studies to understand the fundamental problems
associated with disease; preclinical and translational research where
results are developed into new diagnostics or medications; and clinical
research where advances in medicine can be brought to the patient
bedside.

detection or diagnostic tools, or devices work in people. When you
participate in a clinical trial, you may gain access to potential new
treatments for a disease or condition, such as heart disease or cancer.
