The Vascular Laboratory at Riddle Hospital offers state-of-the-art
technology for non-invasive vascular testing. All of our staff are
credentialed under the ARDMS, the the national credentialing board for
vascular lab staff. Riddle Hospital's Laboratory has earned
accreditation by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation
of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL).
Testing Available
Venous system testing is done by using ultrasound and doppler
technologies to help with:

Detection of acute venous thrombosis
-
Detection and evaluation of venous insufficiency using PPG
(photoplethsymography) Access and map veins for use in bypass
surgery and vein stripping
Arterial system testing is done using doppler, pulse volume recordings,
segmental limb pressures using blood pressure cuffs or ultrasound when
indicated to evaluate:

Arterial insufficiency of the upper and lower extremities

Maneuvers of the upper extremities for detection of thoracic
outlet syndrome

Cold Immersion testing on the upper or lower extremity digits
(fingers/toes) for Raynouds Syndrome and vasospasm

Ultrasound for evaulation of bypass grafts, arteriovenous
fistulas, pseudoaneurysyms, aneurysms and stents.

When you come to Riddle Hospital, first visit Outpatient Registration on
the first floor of the hospital. You will then be directed to the
Neurodiagnostic/Vascular Center on the third floor of the hospital. Our
hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30
