The Comprehensive Breast Center at Lankenau Medical Center provides every patient with personalized care. At all times, the hospital’s highly trained specialists strive to eradicate the cancer while preserving the breast. Breast cancer treatment options include breast surgery, medical oncology, radiation and reconstructive surgery.

Breast Surgery

At Lankenau we are champions of minimally invasive, breast-conserving surgery techniques. In addition to preserving healthy tissue we utilize the following techniques to minimize blood loss and scarring and reduce recovery time:

Medical Oncology

At Lankenau you will have access to the latest treatments that may be needed beyond surgery. Our experienced team of board-certified medical oncologists treats hundreds of breast cancer patients each year in a caring and supportive environment with a particular focus on counseling, education, and the best form of advanced cancer-fighting medications. Oncology-certified nurses help educate patients about the disease and provide support and long-term follow up for the family and caregivers. The medical oncologists at the Comprehensive Breast Center serve as principal investigators for the Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), one of only 47 National Cancer Institute {NCI) funded programs, bringing the most current clinical investigative trials to patients.
