ligaments, carpal tunnel or a herniated disc, your orthopedic specialist
will provide you with an unmatched level of personal care. From your
first appointment to your last, you will receive one-on-one attention,
which helps open the lines of communication. In fact, you are encouraged

caregivers will have a better understanding of your experience and
progress.
Joint Replacement
Joint replacement has been a specialty at Paoli Hospital for more than
35 years. Our orthopedic team has performed thousands of joint
replacements, as well as helped pioneer the latest surgical techniques.
Patients benefit from these advances by experiencing improved outcomes,
fewer complications, and a faster recovery.
The Joint Replacement Program at Paoli includes comprehensive pre- and
post-operative services that emphasize wellness and maximize patient
recovery efforts through patient education, expectation setting, family
involvement and group interaction, all of which are coordinated by our
Orthopedic Program Manager.
Rehabilitation and Therapy
Your condition probably began with pain, and a decrease in strength and
mobility. In response, your rehabilitation will focus on reducing the
pain and restoring your strength and function as safely and efficiently
as possible. The process begins in the hospital where your surgery was
performed, and continues after your discharge.
If you require additional hospitalization, services are available at our
sister facility, Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital―the largest and most
comprehensive rehabilitation organization in the region. Once your
hospital rehab is complete, outpatient therapy is available at Paoli
Hospital, as well as at our Main Line Health Centers in Exton and
Collegeville. You can also receive therapy in the comfort of your
own home through the Homecare Network.
At any site you choose, our medical and clinical rehabilitation
therapists will develop a treatment plan tailored to meet your
individual needs and goals, and help you successfully return to your
normal routine.
