Marilyn Lavins (Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania) has a fine arts degree
from Tyler School of Art at Temple
University and is an alumnus of Moore
College of Art and Design. Lavins wears
prism eyeglasses due to chronic double
vision problems. She has received many
awards in digital photography, mixed
media, oils, serigraphs and collages.
Lavins’ commissioned paintings of area
homes are in private and business
collections throughout Pennsylvania and
New Jersey. Her lithograph of the
Philadelphia Art Museum and Waterworks
hangs in every room at the Embassy
Suites Hotel on the Parkway in
Philadelphia. She also donates artwork
for good causes such as the Arthritis
Foundation and the American Red Cross.
