Paul Kushner (Lake Worth, Florida)
started painting during his medical
internship to satisfy his need for
stimulation outside of medicine. Kushner
lost the use of his left arm and
shoulder due to bone cancer. Spinal
stenosis prevented him from standing for
long periods of time so he learned to
paint by sitting down. Kushner’s art has
moved in a variety of directions based
on physical limitations, emotional
stability, and spirituality. He has
exhibited with the Beth Or Art Gallery,
the Woodmere Art Gallery, the Norristown
Art League and the Skippack Art Gallery.
